Artichoke
An artichoke is cultivated species of thistle. The edible part of the plant is the flower bud before it has blossomed that is eaten as a vegetable.
When to Plant or Sow

Sow seeds in March and April, about 13mm deep in a seedbed. Sow two or three seeds per station, with 25-30cm in and between the rows.

When to Harvest

You can harvest your artichokes between June and September.
